Awards + position paper Submission

Delegates of LSCMUN will be evaluated on the following criteria when deciding individual awards: 

Research and Preparation:

  • Thorough understanding of assigned country’s policies and positions
  • Comprehensive position paper on the committee topic(s)

Quality of Speech:

  • Effective communication skills and delivery of persuasive speeches
  • Ability to collaborate and build consensus with fellow delegates

Committee Participation:

  • Actively engage respectfully in committee sessions through speeches, working papers, and resolutions.
  • Contribute constructively to the overall committee dynamics

Crisis Management (Crisis Committees Only):

  • Quick thinking and adaptability in responding to crises
  • Creativity in proposing innovative solutions to new challenges

Leadership and Initiative:

  • Demonstrated leadership in committee discussions, bloc discussions, etc
  • Proactive approach in driving the committee towards productive outcomes

Professionalism:

  • Adherence to parliamentary procedure and decorum
  • Respectful behavior around fellow delegates, chairs, and staff

As a reminder, each delegate must submit a position paper to be eligible for any individual awards. Position papers can be submitted below or given to chairs on the day of the conference. Additionally, a consistent display of the criteria above is also required throughout both committee sessions. Any inappropriate behavior at any point in the conference will result in ineligibility for awards. 

LSCMUN is a no-tech conference
Position papers are required to win awards in committee. Delegates can submit their position papers by sending them to their chairs VIA Email PRovided IN Background Guide.

The deadline to submit position papers is Saturday morning before committee!
